Barrier Sheath Cleanser is a natural solution made from mild vegetable suracants and purest lanolin that naturally softens hard and sharp smegma that can build up inside the sheath. Smegma is a build up of grime, secretions and dirt which is a tar like substance that can be found around the sheath or down the hind legs. Using Sheath Cleanser cleans away any debris without removing natural bacteria.
Please note: Sheaths should be cleaned regularly to prevent a build up of smegma, a breeding ground for bacteria. Infection and swelling can be caused by lack of cleanliness and should be checked out by your vet.
Safety: Sheath Cleanser is entirely non-toxic and non-irritant but extreme care must be taken inside the sheath as the smegma can be razor sharp and easily graze thin membrane and allow infection to set in.
